Former President Goodluck Jonathan’s aide, Reno Omokri has lashed out at Reverend Fr. Ejike Mbaka for applauding President Muhammadu Buhari.
President Buhari and Fr. Mbaka
Pastor Reno Omokri, a former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, has sent a soul-searching message to popular Enugu-based Catholic priest, Rev’d Fr. Ejike Mbaka, asking whether Mbaka was called by God to defend hap|€Xs Nigerians or a president who has five aides and a minister to speak for him.
Recall that earlier on Tuesday, the Spiritual Director of Adoration Ministry Enugu, Mbaka was widely reported to have stated that President Muhammadu Buhari was not to be blamed for the present economic challenges in the country.
"Buhari is not the cause of hunger in the country; not the cause of starvation in Nigeria.
"The tap root of Nigeria’s economy has been cut; Buhari is just trying to hold a rolling vehicle; a vehicle that the brakes have been destroyed. So, Buhari is not the cause. If GEJ was the president today, the situation would have been worse," Mbaka was quoted as saying.
But in the message to fiery Catholic priest, Omokri wrote:
"Dear Reverend Fr. Mbaka,
“The wife of an evangelist was beheaded-you kept quiet. Her suspected …. ers were acquitted-you kept quiet. However, today you have find your voice to defend President Muhammadu Buhari and condemn former President Goodluck Jonathan.
“As a Reverend Father, were you called by God to speak for a man who has 5 media aides and a minister of information all speaking for him or were you called to speak for the poor and power|€Xs children of God who face injustice with no one speaking for them?”
