The CIES Football Observatory has published its annual rankings of most valuable players in the top five European leagues (the Premier League, La Liga, Ligue 1, Serie A and the Bundesliga).

The list is made up based on their worth, factors including age, position, contract duration, performance and international status.

On the list, Brazilian and PSG superstar, Neymar piped his former Barcelona teammate, Lionel Messi to the top of the list with a value of €213million, while the Argentine footballer scooped the second spot with €202.2m worth.

Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane is ranked third on the list as he’s valued at (£172m).

One of the shocking disclosure on the list was Ballon D’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo, who surprisingly is the 49th most valuable player in Europe, according to the Football Observatory.
