Thomas Tuchel’s men have reportedly moved ahead of the competition in the transfer race for Jack Grealish, according to reports.
As per Spanish outlet Fichajes, the Blues are now the “favourites” to potentially capture the Aston Villa man this summer.
They do face competition from the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United, who have both been credited with a considerable interest in the winger in the past, but Thomas Tuchel’s men are apparently best placed to complete a deal.
Blues table ‘improved’ Hakimi offer
Meanwhile, Chelsea could also potentially have put themselves in prime position to capture another transfer target in the form of Inter Milan’s Achraf Hakimi.
Having already lodged an offer for the Moroccan wing-back, the Blues have reportedly lodged an “improved” bid according to Corriere dello Sport.
An offer of €50m plus Emerson Palmieri has been tabled but Inter Milan are thought to only be interested in cash as opposed to any potential swap deal.
Leicester join Chelsea in Patson Daka pursuit
Whilst a few potential deals look like they are making some progress, one that isn’t is a move for Red Bull Salzburg’s Patson Daka.
The Blues have been linked with the forward in the past as potentially a cheaper alternative to Erling Haaland or Romelu Lukaku.
However, they could now face more competition with Premier League rivals Leicester City also interested.
